Welcome to the Soderkaser amidst the Almenwelt Lofer!

Traditional and home-made delicacies and specialities.

Located directly by the upper terminus of the Almbahn II, we are easy to reach for everyone in winter as well as in summer. In summer, we can also be reached on foot via the waterfall trail or other hiking trails, on mountain bike or even by car.
No matter if hiking, skiing or simply enjoying the alpine flair, here everyone will get their money's worth. In fine weather, you can enjoy the day with a good meal on the sun terrace and take in the wonderful, culinary and scenic impressions during all seasons.

Thanks to our central location on the Loferer Alm we are also a starting point for hiking tours and walks catering to all requirements. Be it a leisurely walk around Almsee lake or up to the Schwarzeck or a hiking tour to the surrounding peaks such as the Grubhörndl and Dietrichshorn, it's all possible. In the area of the Loferer Alm and up at the Schwarzeck, around 50 alpine huts can be easily reached on foot.

Our traditional "Treat Weeks" are held every year in the second half of September. During this period, we serve fancy and traditional dishes from Pinzgau cuisine. In addition to the familiar treats from the regular menu, you can then expect yeast dumplings, filled crispy fried potato cakes, barley broth, soup of chamois, Senninhupfer doughnuts and many other delicacies.

Our opening hours are strongly linked to the operating hours of the cable car, the winter season is dependent on snow conditions and usually lasts from around mid-December until Easter. In summer, we usually start opening on some days as early as May and, depending on the weather, all the way into October.

Looking forward to your visit is the team from Restaurant Soderkaser!
